Jackie Taylor

Loowit (Grade 1 and 2) teacher

Jackie Taylor has been teaching children for over twelve years. She graduated from Western Montana College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood.

She worked in the early childhood lab school on her college campus and upon graduating became the school’s lead teacher and director. She then moved to New York and taught grades 4th, 5th, & 6th at the Children’s Country Day School. During her second year there she served as the interim Head of School and taught Spanish.

Jackie has been teaching at The Gardner School for nine years. She has taught grades 4, 5, & 6, and is currently in her fifth year teaching Loowit (grades 1 & 2). For the past three years she has served as the Director of Elementary Education.

In addition to teaching, Jackie has been a volunteer coach for several basketball and soccer teams. She is an avid sports fan who plays competitive softball and volleyball.

Her husband, Willis, is the Extended Day Director at Gardner and they have two children; Carver, a student in Mazama I, and Gracie, a toddler.
