Amber Weyers

Director of Communications & Marketing

Amber brings more than 10 years of strategic communications and marketing experience built across newsrooms, publishing and corporate communications.

Amber grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and earned her B.A. in communications and journalism, with a minor in sociology, from Northern Illinois University in 2015. She started her career as a news reporter and anchor, then moved into public relations working for a children's publishing company. In 2020, she relocated to the Pacific Northwest, where she most recently led external communications at Oregon's largest electric utility.

Alongside her work at Gardner, Amber is also earning her Juris Doctor through Vermont Law's hybrid program. Her belief that everyone deserves to be treated equitably and have access to the same opportunities and resources drives both her communications work and her path toward becoming an attorney.

Amber welcomes new ideas and is excited to help shape how Gardner connects with students, families and the broader community.
