Jennifer Derscheid
Interim Director of K-6 Program
Jennifer Derscheid brings more than 20 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher, special educator, curriculum leader and school administrator. Throughout her career, Jennifer has been committed to strong academics, thoughtful differentiation, and engaging, experiential learning that helps students become curious, confident and independent learners.
Jennifer values strong relationships among students, families and educators and believes children thrive when they are known well, appropriately challenged and encouraged to explore their interests and strengths.
Outside of school, Jennifer loves traveling, exploring museums and historic places, vintage shopping and spending time with her four children and her dog, Maggie. For fun, she also runs a small vintage Strawberry Shortcake boutique.
Jennifer looks forward to getting to know Gardner's students and families and to working alongside the school's talented faculty in support of a joyful and academically strong year.
