Marisa has spent the last couple of years as a licensed educator with prior experience in lower elementary. Her favorite parts of teaching are connecting with students and exploring their curiosities. With a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education, Marisa prioritizes lessons that cater to the needs of each unique child to grow in their knowledge. She believes that diverse minds can help provide opportunities for peer learning through consideration of different perspectives.

In her classroom, Marisa embraces creativity and curiosity to guide fun, engaging learning opportunities with real-life connections. She aims to help students feel supported, confident, and cared for in their educational journey! Marisa recently moved to Washington from Phoenix, Arizona and is so excited to experience all seasons of our beautiful state.
