Wy’East (Grade 4) Teacher

Priya comes to Gardner with four year of experience as a classroom teacher but almost a decade of working with students. Her favorite part of teaching is building meaningful relationships while fostering each student’s growth mindset and love of learning.

Priya is a licensed elementary educator with a Bachelor of Science in Child Learning & Development and Psychology. She is passionate about creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. She values curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on learning experiences that keep students engaged. Priya is committed to student growth and belonging, and she is excited to get to know each student’s unique strengths, interests, and goals.

Priya recently moved from Dallas and is happy to call the Pacific Northwest home. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, watching and playing sports, and spending time with loved ones. She also likes trying new restaurants and welcomes your local recommendations!
