  • “School Readiness Week”: August 11th - 15th

    The Tumtum, Mazama, and Kalama camps are limited to students enrolled in those classrooms for fall 2025.

    Priority for Scout Camp will be given to siblings of those in our Readiness camps. Remaining spots will be open to the wider community.

Week 1: July 7th - 11th

    Grades:  Kindergarten - 2nd

    Time:  9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

    Cost:  $365

    Description:  We will work with various clay and ceramic media and techniques to build a variety of objects, from pots and creatures to plaques and fidgets. Campers will take home all that they make.

    ** Kiln-fired ceramic objects have to be bone dry and then fired twice, which takes time. Objects will be available for pick up the week after camp completes. Photos of each camper’s work will be sent home with campers for ease of pick up.

    ** Concepts for the ‘Ceramics’ series are different for each week, and beginners are welcome to join each week. Ideas will not be repeated, so join them all!

  • Coding Boot Camp

    Grades:  3rd-8th

    Time:  9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

    Cost:  $365

    Description:  Computer programming doesn’t have to be difficult! Learn to build circuits and code basics using a Raspberry Pi micro computer and Python.

    **$50 materials fee - take home a circuit board and Raspberry Pi Unit to continue the adventure!

  • Chefs’ Academy

    Grades:  3rd to 6th

    Time:  9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

    Cost:  $365

    Description:  Spend a week as a real chef, cooking real food! Create a menu and open a “restaurant” with your kitchen team. Learn about different cuisines, kitchen safety, cooking techniques, and how to write your own recipes! All recipes will be nut-free, but can also be altered for other dietary or allergy needs if requested by June 15th.

Week 2: July 14th - 18th

Grades:  Kindergarten - 2nd

Time:  9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Cost:  $365

Description:  Campers will build a miniature city with roads, buildings, and places for cars to explore! We have an entire classroom ready to be transformed into the perfect roadways for our fleet of Matchbox Cars. Kids can design their perfect houses, stores, parks, anything they desire from cardboard, paper, craft materials, and found objects. We’ll also spend tons of time outside exploring, playing and enjoying the summer weather!

Description:  Do you have a story you want to tell? Does the idea of writing like Jane Y olen, Rick Riorden, Dav Pilkey, Jeff Kinney, Laura Ingalls Wilder or JK Rowling sound exciting? Are you a budding young author? Come join us as we learn to get our stories down on paper (or computer!) and organize our ideas into stories that we can tell our families and friends.

Description:  A taste of what summer camp was like when parents were young! Spend a week doing all the classic summer camp crafts. We’ll work on tin can windsocks, tie-dyed shirts, friendship bracelets, sand candles, boondoggle, and more! We’ll also have plenty of time to play outside and engage in classic summer camp games.

Description:  Let’s get messy! Spend the week building, painting, exploring and experimenting in the messiest ways possible! We’ll explore cause and effect, abstract art, chemical reactions, and the great outdoors. Bring your old and extra clothes, because messy adventures are waiting for you!

Description:  Spend the mornings building creations with various items, then after our lunch break spend the afternoons playing various board games. Campers will be able to bring home the items they create. Students are welcome to bring in favorite board games to share with other campers, and we will have a good supply of ready-to-play games as well.

Description:  Spend a week exploring marble runs and creative building techniques to race marbles and build kinesthetic structures! We will also spend lots of time outside exploring and playing on our 5 acre campus.

Description:  For all budding structural engineers, crafters, role-players, cosplayers, and model makers! Build (almost) anything you can imagine with this versatile, easy-to-work-with, and readily available material! Campers can make masks, armor, buildings, dioramas, vehicles, forts, or whatever else they can dream up!

Description:  Welcome to the Mad Scientist Lab! Pick your mad scientist name and start planning your evil scheme! We’ll use our skills to build our headquarters, test experiments, and even make disguises to escape capture. Are you up for the challenge?

Mad Scientist Camp with Devon

Cost:  $365 plus $50 materials fee

Description:  Learn how to code Edison robots. During camp we will learn how to navigate mazes, detect objects, and program decisions for our Edisons to make. This leads to us running multiple robot wresting tournaments during camp. Legos will be used during camp, but will be left at the school. ** There is a $50 additional fee for this camp - take home your very own Edison robot! **

Cost:  $365 plus $50 materials fee

Description:  Learn to create digital artworks and animation with tools like a digital drawing tablet. Campers will use Blender, a free animation software package, and Krita, an open source digital drawing package. Computers will be provided for use at camp; students will take home their newfound skills and their drawing tablets for use at home, and parents will receive information on where to download the free software used in camp.

** There is a $50 additional fee for this camp - take home your very own Wacom drawing tablet and wireless mouse!**

While our incoming Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten students prepare for new school adventures during School Readiness Week (see below), students who have completed Kindergarten can attend a final week of Summer Camp!

Description:  Spend the week as a scout! Earn badges for art, cooking, scavenging, science, community and more! Become a part of the troop and collect all the badges!

Scout Camp with Devon

Description:  Designed for our youngest adventurers, this camp helps our incoming Tumtummers feel comfortable with the transition of leaving parents and entering school for the first time. Get to know your new classroom, the teacher, and the school routines, all before the first day. Practice circle time activities and get a head start on what it’s like to be at school! While exploring at their own pace, campers will get to build relationships with their future teacher and classmates.

Description:  Partly a summer camp, partly a scheduled routine to get us in the groove for the upcoming school year! This camp is for incoming Mazama students to get to know their teachers, classroom, and new friends before the school year begins. There will be lots of outdoor play, crafts, and creative activities!
